Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Retail Ticketing is operated by Smartcode Limited, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and an account ID. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us.
- Plan and usage: your plan, subscription status and renewal date, and how many free trial prints you have left.
- Billing: a Stripe customer reference. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider records standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
What we don’t collect: the product names, prices and other ticket content you type are saved only in your own web browser and are never sent to us.
Why we use it
To sign you in, provide the Service, track trial prints, take payments and manage your subscription, send billing and service messages, prevent misuse of the free trial, and answer your questions. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with the providers that run the Service for us:
- Supabase — sign-in and our account database
- Stripe — payments and subscriptions
- Render — website hosting
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google
These providers may store or process information outside New Zealand, including in Australia, Asia and the United States. We use reputable providers that protect it with safeguards comparable to New Zealand law. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages to prevent fraud.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. Billing records are kept for 7 years, as required by New Zealand tax law. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your account information apart from records we must keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
